Manus McClafferty – Partner
Manus qualified as a Solicitor in 1985 and set up the practice in 1990 with Noelle Maguire. Since then Manus has specialised in Litigation and has represented many clients on a wide variety of legal matters to include all types of personal injury and accident claims cases, medical negligence cases to include a number of very large cerebral palsy cases, libel and defamation cases for a number of well known clients within the media and entertainment industry as well as a large number of banking litigation cases for a number of financial institutions.
Noelle Maguire – Conveyancing & Managing Partner
Noelle qualified as a Solicitor in 1987 . She has particular expertise in residential and commercial conveyancing, landlord and tenant, probate/will drafting, licensing and property litigation. She has acted for a broad range of clients including Developers, Investors, Lending Institutions and Private Clients in the purchase, development, taking of security, financing and leasing of Residential, Office, Retail and Industrial Properties. Noelle’s many years of experience have given her a down to earth and practical approach in dealing with all legal matters.
Dónal Holohan – Partner
Dónal qualified as a Solicitor in 2001 and joined the Firm in 2008. He is an experienced litigator who specialises in personal injury and medical negligence cases, acting on behalf of people who have been injured, or who have received inadequate medical treatment. He previously acted for an insurance company defending personal injury cases. Dónal also practises in the area of employment law, and general litigation involving all manner of disputes. He has acted for both plaintiffs and defendants across a broad range of commercial matters for over 20 years, to include many complex cases on behalf of a large bank.
Emer Herlihy – Senior Solicitor
Emer qualified as a Solicitor in 2001 and is licenced to practice in Ireland, England and Wales. Emer joined the firm in 2016. Emer has specialised in personal injuries litigation since qualifying as a Solicitor and has extensive experience representing clients in personal injuries claims in the District, Circuit and High Court. Emer also has over 15 years’ experience in handling medical negligence, defective product and defamation cases and has acted for both Plaintiff and Defence clients in the past.
Marianne McClafferty – Solicitor
Marianne qualified as an Occupational Therapist with a BSC Hons from Trinity College Dublin. She then worked for a number of years with people suffering from Traumatic Brain Injuries, Dementia and Degenerative diseases. She joined Maguire McClafferty in 2019 and qualified as a Solicitor in 2022. Marianne holds a higher diploma in Medical Negligence Law from Kings Inns and has experience in Personal Injury Litigation, Medical Negligence, Residential Conveyancing, Wills, Probate and Enduring Power of Attorney’s.
